Mechanism of Phentermine

In last three post of mine we have become quite familier with phentermine. But i left one aspect, what is the mechanism that it follows to help to reduce weight.Generally speaking , the mechanism is same as that of any surpressent.

It works on the hypothalamus portion of the brain. It is an amphetamine that stimulates neurons to release or maintain high levels of a particular group of neurotransmitters known as catecholamines; these include dopamine and norepinephrine neurotransmitter or chemical messenger that signals a response to reduce hunger.

Phentermine (through catecholamine elevation) may also indirectly affect leptin levels in the brain.Phentermine works outside the brain as well to release epinephrine or adrenaline causing fat cells to break down stored fat, but the principal basis of efficacy is hunger-reduction.In the absence of a hunger signal, there is a loss in appetite.

There are two variations of phentermine available i.e.

  • The fast acting version of Phentermine- Adepix
  • The time-released version of Phentermine- Ionamin.

Both the versions take different approaches, but both will help you eliminate your cravings and give you the ability to stay focused on your diet plan.

The best way to decide which of these types of Phentermine will best help you lose weight is by talking to your doctor. Since they know your medical history and any potential issues that could occur.

The point of my discussion will be adipex.
